Course content
Basic principles for functioning the banking sector. Basic principles for risk insurance. Prevention of iinsurance fraud. Economic crime in the financial and insurance operations. Corruption. Shadow economy. Tax fraud and evasion. Subsidy fraud. Virtual currency. Protection of economic competition. The current problems in the financial sector.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with fundamental principles that are applied in respect of public and private finance, outlining the economy of major institutions of particular sectors and to identify the main impacts on individuals and selected sectors of the economy. In particular, the attention is paid to the negative phenomena that occur in this area. The student gets an overview about possible ways of their solution.
Student will be able to perceive various phenomena of socioeconomic character in complex ties. Further student will be able to assess impacts of these phenomena on economy of state or region or enterprises.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

The assignment will be given on the basis of obligatory attendance at seminars in required range, elaboration and successful defense of seminary work, activity in terms of seminars and successful completing the assignment test. More information will be given by tutorial lecturer. Alternative assignment will be given on the basis of acceptance of recherché from foreign language literature. The exam will be written.
