Market and its subjects, individual supply and demand. Consumer's preferences, classical model of demand. Demand for products with long-term consumption - short-term analysis. Demand for products with long-term consumption - long-term analysis. Production function. Costs and revenues of the company. Company models in market environment. Company models in imperfect competition. Aggregate supply and demand. Static Keynes model. Dynamic analysis of aggregate models. Selected aggregate models of the national economy. Walras' model of general equilibrium. Models of inter-branch relations.

The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the picture of mathematic economics at the contemporary development level and provide them with basic knowledge and methods of mathematic economics. The accent is put on the ability to use acquired knowledge at various levels of the national economy.
Students will be able to use acquired knowledge not only in the mathematic economics but also in related fields of study. Furthermore students will understand how to apply various approaches and how to select appropriate methods and defend it with necessary arguments. |

| Assessment methods and criteria |

Oral examination, Written examination, Student performance assessment
The assignment is granted upon passing the written test. The examination is written and oral. The examination proves student's theoretical knowledge and his ability of its further use. If the written test proves required knowledge and skills it is possible not to attend the oral examination. |
