Course content |
Essence and function of regional economics. Main theoretical directions in RE. Supply and demand in the space analysis. Analysis of regional economic structure. Conception of local development in its economic interpretation. Location analysis and its theoretical fundaments. Economic connections of migration. Position of cultural-historical locations in the conception of territorial development. Regional policy. Economic connections of regional planning, urbanization and urbanism.

Learning outcomes |
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students on the basis of understanding the economics, regional development and theory of public administration with the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the economics applied, researched and interpreted in a particular district - space.
Students will understand economic connections in the spatial arrangement, furthermore they will realize the context of the space economics and its development within economic theories. Students will be further acquainted with the overview of regional policy and economic development. They will be able to apply theoretical knowledge at the practical level. |

The assignment is granted upon attendance at seminars. The examination is written (at least 60% success rate is required). |
