Course content
Projects and their importance. Sources of project financing. Importance of subsidies for economy. Process of obtaining funding from the EU funds. Public procurement policies in the implementation of projects. Role of financial and integrated instruments in the period of 2014-2020. PPP as the alternative form of project financing. National resources in the project financing.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of financial management of projects and grant management with a focus on selected issues and problems in obtaining funding from the EU funds in the programming period 2014-2020. Further the attentation will be paid to other alternative forms of financing which might be available in the programming period 2014-2020.
Student will be able to solve selected issue according to the point of view of specifics of project management in public sector; will understand the principles, advantages and disadvantages of alternative resources for financing the projects with respect to the resources of the European Union; will be able to substantiate and defend his procedures in the discussion.
Prerequisites
The knowledge of regional economy, economy of public sector in the range of master study (the basic problems of the area of functioning of public and entrepreneurial sector and problems of the area of project management including the economic analysis) are presupposed.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

The assignment will be given on the basis of obligatory participation at seminars in require range and successful elaboration of engaged tasks. Alternative assignment will be given on the basis of acceptance of recherché from foreign language literature. The exam will be written (for ordinary and the first resit term), oral (for the second resit term).
