Learning outcomes
|
The course will familiarize students with basic and advanced methods of documenting historical buildings as one of the fundamental components of heritage conservation. From verbal descriptions to the basics of photo documentation, simple field sketches, entire buildings and their parts, and the basics of simple surveying. Furthermore, documentation of individual architectural elements, both solitary and within standing buildings.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment, Systematic monitoring, Self project defence
Attendance (75%). Active participation in classes, which will take the form of interactive seminars. Independent study of basic professional literature. Active participation in excursions. Preparation of a seminar paper in the form of a findings report or operational documentation.
