Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with advanced knowledge of tangible cultural heritage and methods of its documentation, study, presentation, and interpretation. Students will also be introduced to a range of methodologically different approaches to the protection of key segments of Western Christian tangible culture.
Graduates of the course will gain extensive knowledge of cultural heritage and current methods of its documentation, study, and presentation. During the seminar part of the course, students will become familiar with several methodologically stimulating texts presenting various hermeneutic approaches and methodological ways of protecting material culture.

Assessment methods and criteria

Minimum attendance of 75% of classes. Active participation in seminars. Independent study of 10 titles of professional literature: monographs or parts thereof (chapters), professional journal studies. The credit interview will be based on the studied literature. Each student will prepare and present a paper on an assigned topic during the seminar.
