Course content
The main features of legal environment development, and the development of administrative changes in the Czech countries. Public and professional administration in the Middle Ages. Administration in high feudalism. Patrimonial administration. Municipal administration. Church administration. State and law in the area of the Czech countries. Constitutional development. Constitutional development in the Czech countries in Modern times and in the 19th century. Political (civil) administration. Jurisdiction and justice. Financial administration. Autonomy. Constitutional and administrative development of the Czechoslovak Republic from 1918 - 1938. Administrative development of the imperial administrative district of the Sudetten and Czech and Moravia Protectorate. The characteristics of the Czechoslovak administration after 1945.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to provide a basic outline of the legal environment and the most important legal systems that have been, in the course of history, connected to the Czech area.
Factual and territorial connections that, in many periods, significantly overlapped with the limitation given by current boarders are stressed. The student will have an opportunity to find such connections and to follow the existing historical continuity or its interruption in both fields mentioned (till the present day).

Oral examination, Student performance assessment

Active participation in seminars, including fulfilling all requirements assigned for every individual term, are preconditions for admission to the oral examination (the passing percentage is in accordance with university examination rules).
