Basic voice education, basic musical theory. Transformations of genres in the history of choir singing. Music as a means of communication. Vocal music from the Renaissance to the present day.

Learning outcomes
|
The goal of this practical seminar is to improve the abilities and skills in the field of choir singing acquired in the seminar Historical Music I. This course is designed for students who are interested in active participation in choir singing. As part of the course, students also represent the university in international festivals, for which they may be provided with a grant.
Students acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of choir singing, history of music and musical aesthetics.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of the HIHU 1 seminar.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment
Active participation and 75% attendance in rehearsals, 80% attendance in concerts, especially in the May Concert taking place on the University premises. In international competition festivals (FSU Jihlava, IFAS Pardubice, possibly also other festivals), 100% participation is required. It is not possible under any circumstances to grant an individual study plan for this course.
