For students who enrolled in doctoral studies after September 1, 2025, courses PDOK1-3 are part of the study program. These are courses with the only regular teaching in the entire study program. These courses consist of participation in so-called doctoral colloquia, which are organized at the Institute of Historical Sciences separately for older (up to approx. 1800) and more recent history (from approx. 1800). Students will be assigned to the appropriate colloquium based on the working title of their dissertation. The colloquium program is published at the beginning of each semester by the guarantor of these colloquia, and it is the responsibility of students to participate in them (a minimum of 75% attendance is required each year) and to be active, i.e., to participate in their course through regular discussion, presentation of current work on their dissertation, presentation of new titles in the field, reading assigned texts, etc. Colloquiums are held at least five times each semester. Credit for the PDOK2 course is awarded by the guarantor of the doctoral study program after verification of attendance and activities with the guarantors of the colloquiums at the end of June of the second year.
