Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to some of the current historical trends , and to trace their roots in the 20th century. Attention will be drawn to the development of historiography and current discussions regarding both actual and future tendencies. An increased level of attention will be drawn to the important movements and development of social sciences and humanities in the present and the the recent past.
Participants will gain an overview of current trends and issues in the French, German, Austrian, English and American historiography and their dependence with other disciplines of social sciences and humanities.

Prerequisites
|
Elemantary skills in English language. Basic overwiev in important achievements of 20th century historiography.

Written examination, Systematic monitoring
Individual preparation for every lesson based on the study of readings via information system (stag). Credit will be given to the participants actively involved in discussion and teamwork in the seminar with tolerance of 3 absences per semester.
