Course content
Risks typology. Conception of extraordinary events and crisis. Classification of extraordinary events. Identification of risks. Quantification of risks generally. Natural risks, anthropogenic risks and industrial accidents. Branches and groups of insurance. Essentials of insurance legislation. Types of insurance and its risks. Unfair competitive practices of insurants and its identification. Internal audit. Risks of insurance companies in capital market.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with basic terms and structure of possible risks. The course develops, in addition to global view of risks, quantification of risks based on its analysis. Views of classification of risk situations are analyzed in accord with general principles of its identification. Management of risks is specified in conditions of natural and anthropogenic risks, and industrial and traffic accidents. Risks are also discussed from the point of view of individual insurance branches and further activities of insurance companies (financial market). Students will be familiar with theoretical knowledge of possible types of risks and its quantification.
Student will be able to orientate oneself in the terms of risk, analysis and risk management. Student will be acquainted with fundamental principles and practice in insurance field. Next to that student will learn types of insured risk and will gain specific knowledge about a practice and insurance issues in the fight against insurance fraud, prevention, detection and punishment.

The assignment is granted upon completion of the seminar paper. Attendance at least 4 seminars is required (in the case of absence at seminars students have to complete the compilation on a given topic in the extent of 10 pages). The examination is written.
