Learning outcomes
Students having finished this course have to know fundamental operations and processes in organic synthesis and are able to use this knowledge to carry out simple preparation. Consequently students are acquainted with the rules of safe work in laboratory, following the hygienic rules, ecological handling with different types of waste and possibilities of recycling of waste and first aid.
Having finished this course students are able independently do simpler synthesis of organic compounds. They are able to purify and identify gained products. They are familiar with the rule of safe work and handling of waste.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of laboratory techniques. Elementary knowledge of mechanisms of executed reactions.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment

Passing out the laboratory course in the full scale (content) Following safety principles in a laboratory Evaluation of a laboratory practice - 70% of the examination result of subject Regular weekly checking of the writing preparation to the practise lesson - 30% of the examination result of the subject
