Multivariate statistical analysis - classification analysis (discriminant analysis, agglomerative and divisive cluster analysis). Calibration.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Methods of individual activities
Learning outcomes
The main aim of the course unit is to get up the knowledges of mathematical-statistical methods usually used for treatment and analysis of experimental data taken from experiments of chemical area. Chemometrical methods discussed offer valuable service for extraction of maximum relevant informations included with measured data. Accent is put in understanding of individual methods. Their applications enable students better experiment adjustment, aims definition, and problem solving using knowledges gained, literature offered and statistical software.
After graduation, student can take bearings in individual mathematical-statistical methods used, in possibilities and ways of their applications. He is ready to choose suitable method and to treat enter data, and after their evaluation to interpret and to analyze apparent or latent patterns included in data. After this, he can draw up or optimize selected part of chemical experiment or industrial process in better way.
Prerequisites
Fundametal knowledge of mathematics and main topics of chemistry in the range of bachelor study

Assessment methods and criteria
