Course content
Nomenclature of organic compounds. Bonds in organic molecules. Stereochemistry of organic compounds. Electron structure of organic molecules. Reactivity of organic compounds. Reactivity of alkanes, alkenes, dienes. Reactivity of alkynes, aromates and heteroaromates. Reactivity of halogen-derivatives and organometallic compounds. Reactivity of alcoholes, fenoles a ethers. Reactivity of aldehydes and ketones. Reactivity of substituted carbonylic compounds, chinones. Reactivity of carboxylic acids and their functional derivatives. Nitro-compounds, nitroso-compounds, oximes, hydroxylamines, hydrazines, amines. Diazonium salts, diazoalkanes, sulfur organic compounds. Derivatives of carbonic acis. Organic dyes.

Learning outcomes
The course unit is focused on area of nomenclature, structure of organic compounds. Each type of organic compounds is introduced and their properties and reactivity is lectured.
The students are able to understand nomenclature, general principles, behavior and reactivity of organic compounds.
Prerequisites
The basic knowledge of general chemistry is required for passing of the course unit
