Course content
Nature, genesis and purpose of financial management. Principles of financial management. The tasks of the financial manager and financial strategies. The value of the company. Capital structure and dividend policy. Financial planning and CF management. Efficiency and financial analysis. Leverage with an emphasis on financial leverage. Investment decisions and capital budgeting. Sustainable growth of company. Working capital management. Financing of international activities and international business. Use of international financial markets to finance companies. Management of international assets and liabilities.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to gain knowledge and knowledge in the field of financial management and their subsequent independent application in solving complex problems.
A student who has successfully completed the course can: - understand the main principles and tasks of financial management and explain their importance, - describe and understand the methods of determining the value of a business, - characterize individual sources of funding, - describe the methods of financial analysis and methods of evaluating investment projects and understand their nature with respect to their use, - explain the role of financial and operational leverage, - list the financial risks and understand their possible impacts, - describe the possibilities of working capital management with regard to current microeconomic and macroeconomic conditions, - explain the role of the financial manager in the area of ??income tax optimization. A student who has successfully completed the course can: - calculate the value of the enterprise on the basis of advanced valuation methods using discounting - evaluate the use of individual sources of financing in terms of cost of capital, including consideration of leverage; - make a comprehensive assessment of the company's financial side and make suggestions for improvement based on a financial analysis of the business - calculate growth rates and make appreciation, - leverage operational leverage and make suggestions for improving the current situation, - on the basis of calculations, evaluate the proposed investments in terms of profitability and risk. The student who has successfully completed the course is able to: - to include in the problem the consideration of the benefits of the individual steps to the financial situation of the company and to decide independently, - to communicate in a comprehensible and convincing way to professionals and lay people information on the nature of professional issues and their opinion on their solution in at least one world language.
Prerequisites
The course assumes knowledge of financial accounting at the graduate level; basics of financial analysis and corporate finance at the undergraduate level.
