Course content
Definition of the basic concepts of change management. Approaches to managing activities and processes in an organization - functional, process, project management. Organizational change management - models of change management in the enterprise (Kotter's model, Lewin's model, etc.). Corporate culture and its importance for change management - characteristics, change of corporate culture. Innovation and innovation process - comparison of innovation x kaizen, open innovation system, creative thinking. Basic philosophies and approaches to improving business processes - kaizen, lean, reengineering, six sigma. Lean and innovative enterprise - lean management, continuous improvement, elimination of waste (muda), principles of lean (zero defects, continuous flow, gemba, continuous improvement, standardization, etc.). Tools and methods for continuous improvement of company processes (TPM, TFM, VSM, U-cell, JIT, 5S, 5 Why?, poka-yoke, kanban, SMED, visual management). Change management and leadership.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with an important managerial activity - change management, with the need for adaptability of organizations to changes that are triggered by changes in the internal and external environment of organizations and especially with processes, tools and techniques for managing not only the human side of change processes, used to achieve the desired results and the implementation of change effectively within individuals, teams and broader systems.
A student who has successfully completed the course can: Explain the importance of change management, its implementation and promotion in the life of the organization, explain the benefits of a proactive approach to seeking opportunities for change implementation, characterise models of change management in an enterprise, list and characterise approaches, methods and tools for improving business processes, explain the importance of leadership for effective change management. A student who has successfully completed the course will be able to: recognize external and internal indicators of change, select the appropriate tool for eliminating a specific type of waste (muda) in the enterprise, assess the suitability of the corporate culture of the company in terms of change management. A student who has successfully completed the course is able to: Design and apply structured processes and selected tools, methods and approaches proposed for managing change in an organisation to achieve desired outcomes, communicate clearly and persuasively to professionals and lay people the nature of professional problems and their own views on their solution, present their own views on innovation and individual change management approaches.
