Course content
Basic concepts of human resource management. Work analysis and creation of work tasks. Personnel planning. Recruitment. Employee mobility. Performance management. Employee training and development. Labor relations collective bargaining. Working conditions. Personnel controlling. Management and career planning.

  • Contact teaching - 52 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the problems of human resources management and its use in practice.
The student who has successfully completed the subject is able to explain the basic concepts of human resources management and mutual relations between these concepts, characterize individual activities of human resources management, their continuity, interconnection, explain the basic issues of work analysis, personnel planning, recruitment, employee mobility, work management performance, employee training, working relationships, collective bargaining, working conditions, personnel controlling and career management. The student who has successfully completed the course is able to orientate in individual activities of human resources management, use basic tools and methods of human resources management, analyze and make decisions in solving problems of human resources management. A student who has successfully completed the course is able to make independent decisions in human resource management in case studies, to communicate comprehensively and convincingly information to experts and lay people about the nature of professional problems and their own opinion on their solution.
Prerequisites
The course assumes knowledge of management at the undergraduate level.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

The assignment is granted upon attendance at seminars and completion of the seminar paper on a given topic. The examination is both, written and oral.
