Course content
History of sociology and its genesis. Levels of sociologic study and company sociology. Working sociology, organization in its genesis. Social relations, social interaction and communication. Social structure of the society. Social phenomenon, its determination and application of research techniques. Organization - theoretical fundament, structure (formal and informal). Demographic, professional and qualification structure. Social mobility. Working group, working teams, working and social adaptation. Typology of conflicts (intrapersonal, interpersonal) and its forms of solving. Organization - outer environment and relations, communication with public. Organization and market environment, working as a social process, way and style of life, leisure time. Employment and unemployment, changes in the world of working.

Learning outcomes
The course follows up with problems mentioned in management and sociology in the Bachelor study programme. It acquaints the students with the knowledge of organization functioning and relation of an organization and its outside surrounding to the behaviour of an individual in the organization. The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with basic knowledge of working groups, work and company sociology, social mobility, organization in market environment in connection with relation to working as social process, conflict situations and its forms. Integral part is an employment and unemployment. Students will be provided with the knowledge of company organization and on the basis of studied materials acquire orientation in employment and unemployment rate and working mobility. Integral part is determination of social phenomena by means of social technique.
A student will be able to use sociological methods for the examination and influencing management of the company in the field of organization, respect the organization and external environment and behavior of workers and the working groups in the organization.

Home assignment evaluation

Graded assignment granting is conditioned by completion of the seminar paper (determination of social phenomena by means of research techniques and completion of the time record within the range of 14 days).
