Course content
Conditions requiring strategic management. Content of strategy and strategic management. Principles of strategic thinking. Method of strategy development. Strategic analysis of company environment (external analysis). Strategic analysis of internal environment, resources and company abilities (internal analysis). Creation of scenario of company future development. Strategic decision making, long-term goal setting and its structuring. Strategy realization, content and classification of strategic measures. Implementation of strategic management, control and strategy actualization.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to master the principles and methods of strategic management and understand its continuity with tactic and operative management. The course includes the knowledge of strategic management in contemporary turbulent environment and conditions of globalization. Application of strategic management enables small and middle-sized companies to strengthen its competitive position within the long term. The course focuses on the whole process of the company strategy development and realization.
Students will gradually get acquainted with the process of creating and implementing corporate strategy.

The graded assignment is granted upon completion of the following conditions: completion of the seminar paper and passing the written test including questions on lectured topics.
