Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to solve the problems of communication in case of possible extraordinary events and crisis situations with the accent put on population. Problems are focused on mechanism of optimum cooperation among the subjects of business, public administration, units of the Czech Republic fire rescue service, crisis management and population in case of any extraordinary event appearance. Following topics are presented: crisis communication in a company, public's acquaintance with the problems of population protection in crisis situations, education to self-protection and mutual cooperation of public in crisis situations, influence of media policy on population, main tasks of the Czech Republic Integrated emergency system with a view to OPIS function at all levels of emergency system, humanitarian aid in extraordinary events in abroad and in the Czech Republic, basic organization and information measures of population protection, psychological service in case of extraordinary events.
Students will learn basic theoretical and practical knowledge of communication in a crisis.

Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment
The assignment conditions: completion of submitted tasks (in LMS Moodle), completion of seminar paper. The examination consists in two parts. The oral exam will follow the successful completion of the written test (i.e. to get at least 60% of the points available).
