Course content
Introduction to the population protection - the basic concepts. Development and contemporary state of the population protection in the world. Conception of the population protection in the Czech Republic. Legislative in the area of population protection. Crisis management at the level of public administration. Integrated emergency system. Rights and obligations in the area of the population protection. Basic measures of the population protection. Economic measures for crisis states.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with basic information regarding problems of population protection in terms of tasks and measures from its history until present day. Within the population protection the course deals with thematic areas including basic elements of population protection (warnings, notification, individual protection, evacuation, emergency survival, extraordinary events and emergency planning).
Students will be acquainted with general overview of civil protection in sense of international humanitarian right and the issue of prevention of extraordinary events.

Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

Processing seminar work (transmission in electronic form) and test (min. 65 %). Exam is in written and oral form.
