Course content
The concept of the course. Selected terms. Demographic characteristics of human resources. Spatial distribution of human resources. Human capital. Human resources as factor of production. Human resources as faktor or consumption. The main problems worldwide and i the EU in the field of human resources. Economic and social policy of the EU and the Czech Republic in the field of human resources. Security of the region's population. Trends and perspectives of human resources inn terms of selected aspects.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to present the issue of human resources in the region - their demographic, economic and social characteristics, to explain concept and role of human capital, to describe nature and importance of the human factor in production and consumption as a component of regional development, to indicate focus and impact of economic policy on human resources management in the region, to provide insight into the development of human resources in terms of worldwide, the EU, the Czech Republic and its regions.
Students acquire knowledge on the demographic structure and spatial distribution of human resources, on human capital, on the role of the human factor in production and consumption in relation to regional development, and on development and main issues in the field of human resources worldwide, in the EU and in the Czech Republic, on possibilities and instruments of economic policy in management human resources. Students acquire skills in data collection, analysis and interpretation in relevant scope.

Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

Assignment is awarded on the basis of: acceptable essay - analysis and evaluation of selected characteristics of the region in terms of human factors (set of sub-tasks); written test (knowledge)- min. 60 % of available points.
