Theory of strategic planning. Strategic planning in public administration. Strategic planning approaches. Strategic planning instruments. Process of strategic planning. participation of public in strategic planning. Strategic vision. Town, municipality and micro-region profile. Strategic plan. Action plans and programmes. Projects and project management.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to identify students with the theoratical resources of the strategical planning. Startegical planning is one of the main executive tool for the regional policy application.
Student has an overview about the strategic planning and is able to create simple strategic documents.

Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

The examination is granted upon completion of the following conditions: attendance at seminars, submission and adjustment of the seminar paper and passing the written test.
