Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the comprehensive overview of the state security policy in contemporary security environment. It includes the summary of remedies and procedures in order to prevent and eliminate threats and inferential hazards with the aim to ensure internal and external security, defence and protection of the state and citizens, state sovereignty, democratic system and principles of legally consistent state. The attention is paid to principles of security policy, basic values, interests, attitudes and ambitions of the Czech Republic in ensuring its security. The accent is put on the complexity of approaches to internal and external security including definition of security system, its structure, defining of duties, competences and responsibilities of its particular components. The course enables the students to be well informed about the entire system of security policy including issues of international cooperation and the Czech Republic participation in allied confederations, engagement of public sector in partial activities of the security ensuring and creating the conditions necessary for conscious pursuance of the Czech Republic citizens.
The subject allows the correct orientation of students across the entire spectrum of security policy, including issues of deepening international cooperation and participation of the Czech Republic in the Allied volumes, the involvement of civil sector in the sub-activities to ensure the security and creating conditions for holding knowledge of the Czech citizens.

Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment
The assignment conditions: 75 % of attendance, completion of submitted tasks, acceptance of seminar work. The examination consists of written and oral part.
