Course content
MS Word as a word processing tool: - typographic rules; - styles, caption, cross-reference, table of contents, inserting objects; - work with revisions; - create and modify an existing template, forms; - mass mailings. Basics of creating presentations: - creation of presentation with regard to psychological profiling of audience; - inserting smartarts; - advanced animation, hyperlinks and inserting audio and video; - create and modify an existing template, MS Excel as tool for data analysis: - editing and graphic layout tables, adressing, work with a large table; - advanced work with functions; - creating and editing charts; - working with data tools; - pivot tables, conditional formats, summaries; - create and modify an existing form; - creating simple macros.

Learning outcomes
The goal is introduction to tools of MS Office to a level that the student he was able to use effectively in practice and its subsequent visualization.
A student who has successfully completed the course can: respect the rules of typographic rules; explain the suitability of using elements and colors in a presentation; describe and explain the advantages of working with advanced tools in MS Word; characterize benefits and describe the creation of templates and forms; describe and explain the advantages of working with advanced tools in MS Excel; list and describe the possibility of processing a large table; explain the use a PivotTable; describe a graph editing options; explain the use of each type of function in advanced data processing; characterize the benefits and describe the creation of a form and work with a simple macro. A student who has successfully completed the course can: apply typographical rules in word processing and presentation; justify the appearance of the presentation with regard to the psychological profiling of the audience; be orient with MS Word tools; to effectively the use MS Word to process the final thesis and in practice; create and editing a table and a graph in MS Excel; the use functions and data analysis tools; substantiate the use of simple macros; create, edit and process a form using form elements. The student who has successfully completed the course is able to: to design the appearance and structure of the document and presentations; decide on the suitability of using MS Office tools to solve the tasks; independently design a data analysis process and output visualization; to communicate comprehensively and convincingly with professionals and laymen information on the nature of professional issues and own opinion on their solution; independently expand your knowledge, skills and competences in MS Office; summarize the views of other team members and implement them in the solution of the problem.
Prerequisites
Skills in PC, MS Excel and MS Word utilization at the level of EMI1. Principle of work in this products, menu, configuration and help.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Systematic monitoring

Assignment: active participation in the exercises according to the FES decree, processing of assigned tasks for the exercises and their positive evaluation. Successful defense of the project and positive evaluation of the control test. More information can be found in the study materials in Moodle.
