Course content
Introduction to problems of the remote sensing (RS) Physical base of the remote sensing and spectral demonstration of selected surface types in particular spectral segments Conventional methods of RS Remote sensing in the thermal spectral segment Remote sensing in the microwave spectral segment. Satellite systems Application of RS Pre-processing of image records Highlighting of image records Spatial highlighting Spectral highlighting Classification of the digital image record Recognition of changes on the RS materials

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Skills training
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to present further geo-information technologies. The emphasis is put on methods of the remote sensing and the digital image processing. Additional advanced analyses of geographic information systems, and a global position and navigation systems are introduced.
Students will be familiar with remote sensing and digital image processing. Students will be able to apply selected technology in practice.
Prerequisites
Are expected basic knowlege of geographic information system.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

The graded assignment is granted upon submitting and recognition of all given tasks at seminars, passing the final written test and the oral examination.
