Course content
A system, and a model. Information and communication systems. ICT models for electronic trading. Strategy of information and communication systems. Project designing of information and communication systems. Risks and crisis states in information and communication systems. Effectiveness of information and communication systems.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Methods of individual activities
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is meet students with the system approach toward information and communication technologies (ICT) and selected models of ICT. Furthermore, project designing of ICT and possible presentations of the ICT effectiveness are discussed.
Students will be able to evaluate the ICT for selected practical applications from the economic point of view.
Prerequisites
Students are expected to be able to work with professional literature in Czech, as well as foreign languages (English, German), as well as with basic Internet functions.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Work-related product analysis

Assignment: students will submit an independent project on a given topic (in an electronic form) and they must successfully defend it. Examination: oral (evaluation is based on both project and oral examination).
