Course content
Interactive presentation of spatial data - Web-based GIS, GeoWeb User categorisation and their system requirements Architecture of systems. Case studies and examples. Interoperability. Standardisation. Using web services Development trends

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce the students to selected ways of interactive presentation of spatial data in Internet setting, so that the design enables the users interactive access to spatial data by means of Web browser.
Students will be able to design interactive applications providing access to spatial data to end users.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of GIS and databases. Basic knowledge of web pages design.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Student performance assessment

Graded assignment is granted upon successful presentation and defence of the independent practical project, during which the student shows his/her ability to apply theoretical knowledge.
