  • Křupka Jiří, doc. Ing. PhD.
Course content
System engineering areas. System, elements, system characteristics. "Soft" and "Hard" systems. Model design and different types of systems. Management and decision-making. System access applications.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Methods of individual activities, Laboratory work
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide theoretical knowledge in the field of system theory and management, as well as the skills necessary for designing simulation cybernetic economics models in MATLAB.
Students will be able to use mathematical tools for description of these systems, based on which they can design a mathematical model and apply and analyse it in MATLAB and MATLAB/Simulink.
Prerequisites
unspecified

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Work-related product analysis

There will be one 3-hour meeting and one 5-hour meeting during the semester. In the first meeting the issue of key topics will be explained, more detailed information will be provided on preparing materials for the project "System access applications", and the issue of a specific topic in the management and decision-making area will be solved. At the end of the semester during the second meeting students will be required to design and analyse systems in MATLAB. This work will be handed in to the tutor in electronic form for evaluation and assessment Assignment: completion of set tasks during the semester; completion and successful presentation of the semester project; successful passing of the final test. Examination is oral or written. The questions are based on the set topics and on the project "System access applications".
