Course content
Introduction to security policy. Re-establishment of the private security sector in the Czech Republic (Czechoslovakia) after 1989. Private security sector. Seminar to topics I. - III. Introduction to the topic of guard services - property and people protection services. Introduction to the topic of private security specialists. Seminar to the topic of property and people protection services (this topic is not covered in any other independent courses). Introduction to the topic of private detective services and business - competitive intelligence. Introduction to business - competitive intelligence. Seminar to the topic of detective services and competitive intelligence.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the general level of private security services - the private security sector (security industry). It is an introduction to the topic of security study.
The students will be aware of the key concepts in security policy, private security, private security specialists and business - competitive intelligence.

Oral examination, Home assignment evaluation, Work-related product analysis

Assignment: defence of a project. Examination: oral. Detailed information will be provided during the first lecture.
