Course content
|
Labour market and its specifics. Analysis and evaluation of the labour market by help of statistic data and sociological investigation, rate of inflation and rate of unemployment. Types of unemployment, structure of unemployment. Employment and social system, minimum wages. Employment rate. Passive and active employment policy and its instruments, financing. Theoretical models of employment policy organization, state, tripartite, dual, insurance. The EU and employment. Structural funds, its drawing. Programmes, projects, ILO, republic and regional labour markets. Function of employment office. Operational employment plans, employment services. Role of lifelong learning.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with functions of the labour market in the free market economy, processes running in the labour market and range of its influences, role of the regions, states and the EU, status of employers and employees in connection to the education system and structure of the employment services.
Student will orientate on the Czech employment market; gets direct experience with searching, preparation and passing the selection interview.

The assignment is granted upon completion of the following conditions: attendance at lectures, submission and adjustment of the seminar paper and passing the final written test.
