Course content
|
Subject of psychology (science, history, terminology). Personality psychology, structure, integration, concept of determinants. Cognitive processes, emotions, motivation, mental activity management. Psychology of work and organization. Basics of social psychology. Personality testing and psycho-hygiene techniques for personal knowledge and development. Society as a determinant of personal and professional life. Other approaches to reflecting on social life. Social science research for economic and public administration practice.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basic concepts and notions of psychology and social psychology in the context of other social disciplines that students can use in their future professional practice. Emphasis is placed on the practical application of knowledge not only in professional but also in personal life.
A student who has successfully completed the course can: practically understand psychological knowledge in the context of one's own and professional life; think in the context of one's personality and interactions with other people; analyze the general patterns of life in social contexts and apply social science research methods in their practice with a view to their effective use for the needs of the organization. A student who has successfully completed the course will be able to: discuss the nature of problems with clarity; defend their own views and their merits; observe the principles of ethical behavior in social situations that they may encounter in the course of their profession; apply social science research methods in their practice with a view to their effective use for the needs of the organization. A student who has successfully completed the course is able to: carry out their own empirical investigations according to the principles of social science research; adequate self-presentation; respond to a stated problem and understand the problem-solving process itself.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Written examination, Home assignment evaluation, Work-related product analysis
Assignment: will be awarded on the basis of the completion of assigned tasks and activity in teaching. Furthermore, on the basis of attendance according to the relevant faculty directive. Students will present individual topics to other colleagues and defend their understanding of the main theses of their topic during the credit discussion. Exam: will consist of a written or oral verification of knowledge and skills.
