Course content
Introduction to the study of financial law, essential financial institutes. Subjects of financial relations, state supervision in the field of finance. Budget law. Subsidy right. Tax law. Monetary and foreign exchange law. Banking and insurance law. Capital market law. Loans and hedging instruments. Law against money laundering. Insolvency and ways of solving bankruptcy.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint to acquaint students with the essential institutes of financial law, focusing on public aspects of the activities of financial institutions, budget, tax and subsidy law, as well as on loans and risks associated with insolvency.
After a successful completion of the course the student will know how to: characterize the basic institutes of financial law and the basic legal principles of this branch of law; describe the budgeting process; explain what are the conditions for obtaining a business license of a bank and an insurance company, what are the public obligations of these entities and what will happen if they are not complied with; explain the content of rights and obligations in administrative supervision; characterize the basic elements of the grant relationship between the provider and the recipient; distinguish individual basic legal institutes of the tax system; describe the requirements of the loan agreement and hedging instruments and clarify the consequences of defects. After a successful completion of the course the student will: be familiar with the Banking Act, the Insurance Act and selected provisions of the Civil Code and other legal regulations; be able to orientate himself in the protocol from the administrative control, to object to the drawing up of a simpler loan agreement; identify defects in the subsidy decision; identify actions that could indicate money laundering; be familiar with the rights of creditors in insolvency proceedings. A student who has successfully completed the course is able to: include consideration of their legal dimension in problem solving; clearly and convincingly communicate to experts and lay people information about the nature of professional problems and their own opinion on their solution.
Prerequisites
The students should be familiar with basic courses on Introduction to Law (preferably to public law).
