Course content
|
Právo - pojem, prameny, dělení. Právní normy, právní principy. Ústavní právo - Ústava ČR, Listina základních práv a svobod. Mezinárodní právo, právo EU. Právní subjektivita (fyzické a právnické osoby), právní vztahy a právní skutečnosti. Občanské právo (absolutní a relativní majetková práva). Obchodní právo (podnikatel, obchodní korporace). Pracovněprávní vztahy. Trestní právo (trestní odpovědnost, trestný čin) Správní právo (základní pojmy). Procesní právo (základy civilního, trestního a správního procesu).

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the system of the legal order of the Czech Republic and with the fundamentals of its individual branches.
A student who has successfully completed the course can: explain the basic essence of the concept of law, what is the rule of law and the rule of law, explain the essence of selected legal principles; to characterize the constitutional establishment of the Czech Republic, explain the nature of the division of power and the position of individual constitutional bodies; distinguish between private-law and public-law relations, enumerate individual branches of law and navigate with others; to characterize basic questions of legal personality, legal relations and legal facts; explain basic institutes of private (civil and commercial) law; to characterize basic labor relations and the status of employee and employer; explain basic institutes of public (criminal and administrative) law; distinguish between different types of court proceedings and orientate oneself; to characterize the rights and obligations of the parties. A student who has successfully completed the course can: orientate oneself in the legal order of the Czech Republic and in its basic regulations (constitution, civil code, labor code, criminal code, civil procedure code, criminal code, administrative code), seek solutions to problems in these regulations; to write a simple contract, document, or filing. The student who has successfully completed the course is able to: formulate their own opinion on basic legal issues; to communicate in a clear and convincing way to professionals and lay people information on the nature of professional issues and their own opinion on their solution.
