Course content
Global economics, characteristics, basic concepts definition. World economy origin and historical development stages I. World economy historical development stages II. Global natural-social issues (ecological, material, energetic, food, population, migration and labour mobility). Polarization between rich and poor countries (backwardness in developing countries, international indebtedness, issues of war and piece). Globalization of financial markets, globalization of international trade (WTO role), international and supranational organizations. Main world economy centres. European economic integration. Institutional system of european economic integration. European economic policies.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the world economy and tendency of its development. The attention is paid to the main world economy centres (USA, Japan, EU, China).
Students acquire overview of the economic globalization in term of ethic, cultural and social level and students will be able to describe, explain and give reasons for globalization processes in term of international capital movement, population development, migration and labor mobility.

The graded assignment is granted upon completion of the following conditions: attendance at seminars, completion of the project and passing the written test.
