Course content
European socio-economic geography - development of cultural landscape. European population. Turbulent Europe - role of migration, religious influence, settlement. Selected European regions. Socio-economic national and regional profiles. Eastern Europe.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Methods of individual activities
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide the students with basic information about individual territories and reasons of its differences in context of the entire European development.
Students will be able to interpret regional geography not only of the EU area but also in other European countries. They will make their own review of basic aspects of the European regional geography, its development, barriers and potential.

The assignment is granted upon completion of the following conditions: completion of the seminar paper and passing the final test (lectures + seminars).
