Course content |
Basic determination od local government in the Czech Republic, the role in the public administration system. Historical background and current local government in our country. The specifics of local state administration and local government in the Czecg Republic. The municipal authorities, regions and organizations. Basic economic context of local administration. Management and marketing at local and regional level. local administration and local development, education, culture, sport and tourism. local administration and security. local administration and the environment. local administration and the use of modern technology. Characteristics of local administration in selected EU countries.

Learning outcomes |
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the specifics of functioning, performance and structure of local state administration and local government in the Czech Republic.
Students will be able to apply modern methods of organization in municipal state administration in the legal system of the Czech Republic. |

Students should have a basic knowledge of public administration.
