Course content
Public administration characteristic, its classification and basic terms. Administrative science and its definition. Periodization and character of Czech public administration in historical context. Current system of Czech public administration(government and local government) Approaches to management in public administration. Public administration reforms in the Czech Republic. Control and evaluation of public administration. Basic features of public administration in selected countries of the European Union.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to apprise students with the functioning of public administration, to define its subjects, organization, historical context and current approaches in the context of reforms of public administration.
Students should have a basic knowledge of public administration in the area of study at high school or college.

Students should have a basic knowledge of public administration in the area of study at high school or college.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Home assignment evaluation

Written examination, oral examination, evaluation of projects, evaluation of performance. Assignment is according to the seminar work and written test.
