Planning of reconstruction in conflict-affected areas
The half of the second decade of the 21st century is full of forced conflict. Long-lasting fight of western countries to terrorism and calmed international conflicts escalated to many regional conflicts. To keep the peace that would be established in some countries, it is important to provide the stable development. The main aim of the thesis is to design the data set that would contribute to redevelopment of the country affected by a forced conflict.
Outline:
- Post-conflict state restoration and peacebuilding.
- Case studies and learned lessons from the studies.
- Overview and evaluation of available data sources.
- Design of a data set suitable for reconstruction of a conflict-affected area.

Záznam průběhu obhajoby
Student presented results of his master thesis regarding Planning of reconstruction in conflict-affected areas. There were read the reports of the opponent and the supervisor. There were asked question of the opponent: What financial resources will be available for reconstruction? Have any states or international organizations already offered financial assistance?
The committee asked following questions: Waht are types of schemes in your thesis? The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the available data sources and to design the data set. Where is a dataset in your thesis? Give me examples digital geographical data which are usefull for reconstruction? Can you specify ''find evaluation'' in part Evaluation model, p. 53? Explain part 2.1 ''Critical decision made'' in Fig. 20, p. 42.
The Commission reminders: badly created graphs; the aim of the thesis has been only partially fulfilled; unnamed graphs types and schematics; definition of smart cities.
