Policy plays a greater role in national development. Regional development policy is therefore a significant transformational tool for development of regions. In the wake of enormous use of regional development policy, least developed countries such as some countries in Africa continent are lacking and unable to implement successfully regional policies.
Hence, the thesis sought to analyse regional policies in selected African countries; Mozambique and Zambia. Their policies were then compared to the EU regional development policy.
