Vzorky připravených materiálů byly charakterizovány pomocí hustoty, teploty skelné transformace, dilatační teploty měknutí, koeficientem teplotní roztažnosti, parametru TK100 a r100, měřením teplotní závislosti stejnosměrné elektrické vodivosti, luminiscence a převážně UV/Vis spektroskopie, kde byla studována optická propustnost/absorpce, změna optické šířky zakázaného pásu a posun KAH. Struktura/složení vzorků byla studována pomocí infračervené spektroskopie, resp. rentgenové fluorescence a rentgenové difrakce.

Glasses of the ternary system PbO-ZnO-P2O5 doped with 0.25 mol. % of copper and tin in various forms (Cu, CuO, Sn, SnO) were prepared and the effect of synthesis time on the resulting physical properties was studied. To complement the findings, glasses with higher dopant additions (2.5 and 5 mol. %) as well as several samples of the 50ZnO-50P2O5 binary system were also synthesized. The samples of the prepared materials were characterized by density, glass transition temperature, dilatational softening temperature, thermal expansion coefficient, TK100 and r100 parameters, temperature dependence measurements of DC electrical conductivity, luminescence and mainly UV/Vis spectroscopy where optical transmittance/absorption, change in optical band gap and KAH shift were studied. The structure/composition of the samples was studied by infrared spectroscopy and X-ray fluorescence and X-ray diffraction, respectively.
