Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic rules of communication and introduce them to the most important communication skills.
|
Requirements on student
|
The student must prove that he/she is familiar with the given issue and masters the basic communication skills to the required extent. This will be verified through a final presentation on a selected topic, which the student will prepare in advance. The teacher will communicate the specific requirements to the students in the first week of the term.

Content
|
1. General characteristics of communication, communication process
2. Basic rules of social communication (greeting, introduction, addressing, academic degrees)
3. Oral and written speech (correspondence, language, e-mails, telephoning)
4. Basics of presentation (factors and preparation, dynamics and structure of presentation, content and form of presentation)
5. Rhetoric (preparation for the performance, technique of speech, personality of the speaker, audience)
6. Non-verbal communication (characteristics, meaning, types)
7. Coping with difficult situations during presentations
8. Conducting dialogues and discussions (dialogue structure, relational aspects of dialogue, meetings and public debating)
9. Argumentation (logical delusions, deceptive definitions, quasi-argumentation, linguistic delusions)
10. Communication strategy (tactical action, problematic partner)
11. Techniques of friendly communication (positive program, active listening, argumentation and pseudo-argumentation, assertive approach)
12. Barriers in communication, manipulation
