Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to give students basic information from the field of health and illness psychology and psychosomatic medicine, which are necessary for the profession of the paramedic.
|
Requirements on student
|
Fulfilling the mandatory 80% participation in classes. Completion of a written test. Oral exam.
|
Content
|
Psychology of health, quality of life. The concept of disease and its development. Somatomental and psychosomatic relationships and theory of stress. Perception and interpretation of symptoms of a disease. Experiencing the illness over time. Psychological effects of the health care environment. Psychological issues related to pain and fear.
