Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to develop understanding of principles and trends in automation and control in printing industry. The objective is to clarify concepts of digital, automation and communication technologies and functions of key control systems in graphic arts, including their compatibility with information systems.

Requirements on student
|
The course is assessed through oral examination of selected topics proving an insight into course contents.

Trends in automation and control.
Digital systems (digital data processing and digital circuits).
Data transport in control systems (communication control, local communication systems).
Automatic regulation (elements of automatic regulation, sensors of print characteristics, regulators, programmable logic controllers).
Control systems in graphic arts (specific systems of various producers).
