Course objectives:

To finalise students view about chemical-engineering unit operations as well as tools necessary for engineering practice.

Requirements on student

Fundamentals of chemical engineering.
Knowledge of working in spreadsheet programs.
Developing and presenting own project using software tools.

Content
|
Introduction to the subject; The use of standard software products in engineering calculations (MS Excel, MS Project, MS Visio, Visual Basic, etc .; Specialized chemical-engineering software; Specification of individual projects; Material design of apparatuses, pumps and piping systems (materials overview, selection criteria, corrosion; Principles of modern design, sources of information - primary and secondary chemical literature, electronic resources; Advances in unit operations (eg adsorption, crystallization, heat exchange, membrane separations); Specialized lectures given by external collaborators; Project consultations; Presentation and defense of individual projects.
