Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge of contemporary logistics practice in the Czech Republic and the European Union and the expected development of logistics.

Requirements on student
|
Requirements for credit:
1/ attendance at exercises (minimum attendance at 5 exercises),
2/ achievement of at least 60% in the credit test (in Moodle)(knowledge and understanding of the subject matter is required).

Competences acquired |
A student who has successfully completed the course can:
characterize the enterprise, division of enterprises, cooperation and association of economic entities,
explain the basic processes related to business reality, especially in the field of supply, production and sales of products and services, including logistics procedures,
explain the concepts of product and service quality and innovation,
characterise the life cycle of an enterprise, its establishment, rehabilitation and demise,
characterise the assets and capital of an enterprise, its structure and records,
explain the basic economic variables in the field of business economics and the relationships between them,
characterise the investment, financial and control activities and processes of an enterprise.
A student who has successfully completed the course will be able to:
orient themselves in the basic legal documents related to the establishment and functioning of different legal forms of enterprise,
assess the efficiency of internal company processes and the use of input resources,
evaluate the quality of products according to standards and technical norms, assess the quality assurance of in-house processes,
evaluate the performance of the enterprise as a whole and its individual parts using financial indicators,
evaluate investment projects based on the use of adequate methods.
The student who has successfully completed the course is able to:
use knowledge of business processes and activities in solving professional problems,
evaluate the economic situation in a selected organisation,
communicate clearly and persuasively to experts and lay people information about the nature of professional problems and their own views on their solution.
