Course objectives:

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of the diagnostics, treatment and prevention of tumour diseases.

Requirements on student
|
The exam is based on submitting an essay about oncology epidemiological situation and system of care about oncology ill patients in student´s country.

Competences acquired |
Students know the main principles of diagnostics and the treatment of tumour diseases, including the side effects of the treatment. They are knowledgeable in the field of oncological prevention and ready to deal with critical situations in connection with taking care of oncological ill patients. Students are aware of ethical issues in oncology, as well as the issue of moral distress and caring / uncaring encounters in oncology nursing. |
