Course objectives:
|
The objective of this course is to understand the changes in education in the reality of school system connected with the present days. Students will gain the knowledge of trends and concepts of current pedagogy and will understand the aims, means and conditions of a complex educational process from the point of view of individual development. Students will understand the current role of a teacher and the conditions of his/her successful activities.

Requirements on student
|
Requirements for the exam: continuous completion of the assignments within the set deadlines (see Moodle) and completion of one field trip to the school followed by a presentation.
An oral examination in the form of a colloquium consisting of the following parts:
1. a self-assessment of a critical essay based on set criteria
2. a discussion on the topics identified by the BUPE2 self-assessment tool (see Moodle) and on the basis of a reading list
3. self-assessment of the tasks and activities completed during the semester and in the exam

The concept of school and education. Curriculum.
A teacher, their rights, duties and needs. A teacher and a learner - the conditions of efficiency of educational process. Respectful communication - giving feedback, dealing with conflicts, techniques of nonviolent communication.
