Course objectives:
|
To acquaint students the design of structural elements (vertical and horizontal) of plain concrete and reinforced concrete according to the requirements of current standards.

Content
|
1. Reinforced concrete (basic considerations of the behavior of reinforced concrete structures). 2. Overview of methods suitable for solving bridge structures (classical theory, degree of safety, Eurocodes). 3. Calculation of loading for reinforced concrete structures according to Eurocodes (calculation models of structure, bearing capacity, usability). 4. Material characteristics, working diagrams (concrete, steel). 5. Bending stressed elements, ultimate limit states (beams, slabs, general cross-sections). 6. Theory of shear stresses, procedure of design of shear reinforcement (stirrups, bends), calculation according to Eurocodes. 7. Reinforcement of basic structural elements. 8. Normal stress, shear stress, main tension of reinforced concrete load-bearing structures. 9. Interaction diagrams of stressed reinforced concrete cross-sections. 10. Serviceability limit states - design and calculation of reinforced concrete structures. 11. Crack development state (section without crack, section with crack). 12. Design and calculation of vertical structures of columns and walls.
