Basic ideas; principles and axioms of structural mechanics; static of the plane forces; equilibrium and equivalency conditions; condition of the static and kinematic definiteness; analysis of the plane static determinate structures - reactions and internal forces.

Content
|
- introduction to the structural mechanics - tasks of structural mechanics - basic principles and axioms - definition of force, equilibrium, equivalency - moment to the point - general system of forces - calculation model - support reactions - application of equilibrium conditions. - internal forces diagrams (normal and shear forces, bending - moments) of the plane beam. - differential equilibrium conditions - simply supported beams and cantilevers, straight beams with - overhangs - beams with broken and curved axis - beam with hinges - Gerber's girder - three-hinged broken beam (with and without a tie) and arches - planar trusses (hinged bar systems) - method of joints and method of sections, static and kinematical definiteness
